Self-hardening Sandbags
Soluform Self-hardening Sandbags
Our Self-hardening sandbags can be used in applications above the waterline or away from watercourses, where external water is not present.
A soaking for 10 minutes in water is required to hydrate the concrete contained inside the self-hardening sandbag.
Uses typically for our self-hardening sandbags include the formation of headwalls to culverts and bridges, retaining walls or the creation and protection of riverbanks, but in controlled situations can also be used for the creation of scour protection, the filling of voids and for underpinning.
SoluForm’s self-hardening sandbags can be used for a wide range of applications including:
- Scour Protection
- Riverbank Protection
- Headwalls
- Creating Retaining Walls
- Underpinning
- Void Filling
Our patented self-hardening sandbags ensure that cement inside the liner is confined to the bag and is not able to leak out into the surrounding environment during vulnerable stages in construction (such as whilst being carried, placed by hand or prior to the concrete hardening).
Soluforms unique design uses a liner that biodegrades along with the hessian bag leaving just the concrete block so that no waste seeps into the surrounding water or area.
Soluform self-hardening sandbags are pre-filled with dry mix concrete within a biodegradable liner that can even be sited below the water line.
